After colon cancer surgery
Recovering after colon cancer surgery has lots of variables. The surgery itself is invasive and will have the same types of post-surgery recovery as other major operations. The rest depends on how much of an area was effected with cancer and how far it spread. Of course, for a small amount, a smaller area would be cut. The other part is that sometimes a patient has to wear a colostomy bag which could be temporary or permanent. Also depending on how severe the case was, depends on whether the patient will receive chemotherapy or radiation therapy. And finally, the patient will be required to get regular checks to make sure no cancer has returned.
