Be Cautious About Buying Cheap Treadmills

If you’re on a tight budget but want to stay fit, cheap treadmills are available in big box stores for under $500.  But these machines have a number of drawbacks that can cost you more money in the long run.  The belt is smaller, so there’s less room for your stride.  The motor isn’t as powerful, so it has to work harder to turn the belt.  The control console may offer few or no programmable features.  Worst, the really cheap models require you to get off the machine and raise and lower the incline by hand.  Unless you only plan to use it occasionally, you’re better off spending the extra money and buying quality equipment.
