I used to be self-employed, and I was unable to get health insurance. Now that I am working for someone else, I am able to get health insurance. It is often much easier to qualify for health insurance when it is a group policy and at a group rate. When I tried to get insurance on my own, I had to have a physical, and the insurance company requested records from all of my doctors. When I got health insurance through my employer, I didn’t even have to answer any health questions.
