What can a DNA test during pregnancy reveal?
A DNA test is usually done to extract information relating to the birth of your child. A DNA test during pregnancy can be done for many reasons. Mostly it is done to reveal the true identity of the paternity of the child. This DNA test can be undertaken within 10 to 24 weeks after conception. Collecting samples for such tests differ according to the stage in which the unborn child is. However, doctors will usually advise would-be mothers to wait till the baby is born to take the test as it involves lesser risk then. If it’s urgent though please consult a specialist first.
